The Avicenna Foundation was established to help the Muslim community through further education to enhance employment and work experience opportunities, whilst acting as a hub for mentorship programmes.
Within every community, there are young people that aspire to do great things. However, not every person within these communities has the same advantage. This is where the Avicenna Foundation extends a helping hand.
Our aim is to assist in the advancement of young people who have a dream and ambition not only to create positive outcomes for themselves but also for others within their communities who will then extend and share these positive outcomes with others locally, nationally, and globally to create an inclusive society giving tangible opportunities to thrive.
Avicenna Foundation gives opportunities and supports students so that they will be able to flourish and thrive in a society that recognises, acknowledges and values them.
The Foundation has already had great impact on its current cohort of scholars through the development programme, skills development, and networking opportunities amongst others opportunities.
Empowering young adults is an essential part of their development. When we empower young adults through access to education we also empower the wider society.
By observing the moral practice of altruism we believe that this will result in a greater quality of life for the recipient and deliver our selfless concern for others.
We believe that every human being deserves to be truly welcomed, valued and respected because inclusivity is all about acceptance.
The Avicenna Foundation believes in service to others. Being of service to others is not just about giving donations. Service to others also means believing in and mentoring them on their journey through life.
We promote equality by making sure that no young adult is discriminated against because of their race, religion,political or socio economic status.
What does the future hold for young people that get accepted onto one of our scholarship programmes?
Well, the possibilities are endless. They could be the future Avicenna giving an entirely new meaning to the word influencer. Our young people may go on to influence an entire generation globally.
